May 11, 2016 I just got some books on Garageband (I think they're geared to the Mac version) and wanted to see if it was worth learning it for mobile sketching purposes. And I was wondering before wasting time with the books how much of the stuff covered in them would simply not be applicable to the limited version that works on the iPhone/iPad. Jun 26, 2019 Use iCloud to keep your GarageBand projects up to date across your Mac computers. Start a song anywhere on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then import it wirelessly to your Mac to take it even further. Remotely add new tracks to your project using GarageBand on your iPhone or iPad.
Garageband For Pc
Feb 22, 2016 FYI you can take the.band file created on Garageband the iPad and open it straight up on the Mac version of Garageband and work on it, but you cannot go back the other way. Nor can you use the same.band file on the iPad once opened on the Mac (as it converts it). I’ve only used GarageBand on a Mac. While impressed by what a lot of people in this group can do, I don’t plan on switching to IOS. It may be that you end up preferring whichever version you start with. It seems that both work.

I don't know if this is even easily doable.
But if so could somebody describe in general terms what functionality is missing in the cut-down version of Garageband that runs on iPhone/iPad versus the full version that runs on a Mac ?

It might be very frustrating if I read about some function in the book only to find its been cut out of the iPhone/iPad. (I do not own a Mac). Exactly how much difference is there and how crippled is the cut-down version ?
Thanks,
Bob
